We are looking for experienced Area Sales Manager with technical knowledge of industrial flooring market. The main purpose of this role is to represent Sherwin-Williams within the region of BeNeLux and to establish/maximize sales and margin in these areas. The successful applicant will be responsible for the development of existing accounts and for creating new business through strategic sales within the Resins Flooring department.

  • Visit and develop relationships with Flooring contractors & specifiers, Distributors
  • Prospect for new business and develop a well filled pipeline of new business.
  • Provide advice on flooring systems.
  • Organising trials in association with the Technical Service Department.
  • Cross sell P&M Products in MRO market
  • Produce a business plan to develop and deliver the maximum sales, volume, and profit.
  • Handling potential claims and complaints.
  • Provide advance information on demand for products.
  • Negotiating term contracts for supplies.
  • Execute / Implement Price Management advised by the business
  • Develop a solid Flooring position & future organization
  • Liaising with colleagues in Customer Service to develop existing customers.
  • Keeping accurate records and files and log into SFDC.
  • Co-ordinating monthly demand forecasts and identifying any major fluctuations.
  • On-going SWOT analysis and any budgetary adjustments that may be necessary.
  • Provide Monthly update to the Regional Sales Manager report on Progress, losses, Market conditions and competitors activities.
  • Work with Regional Sales Manager to follow up projects provided by the Project Development team.
  • Conduct and follow up on presentations with architects and engineering houses.
  • A level or equivalent, degree desirable
  • Min 5 years of experience in the resin flooring industry, specifically resins technology
  • Flooring Product knowledge essential
  • PC literate Word/Excel/Powerpoint
  • Resin background – desirable
  • Min 5 years of experience in a sales role within a resin flooring or similar environment but must have experience of the customer base in the relevant market area.
  • Willing to travel up to 80% of his time
