Maintenance Supervisor – Lelystad

We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead our Engineering & Maintenance team in a fast‐paced, hazardous manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for a safety‐driven, hands‐on leader who can empower teams, drive reliability, and deliver continuous improvement.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and develop the Maintenance teams, ensuring strong safety performance and compliance.
  • Champion a safe working environment by driving Near Miss reporting, Safety Observations, and timely action completion.
  • Oversee planned maintenance, Condition‐Based Monitoring, and resource prioritization.
  • Provide technical guidance and support on engineering issues.
  • Contribute to Commissioning and Management of Change processes.
  • Drive Engineering Continuous Improvement to boost reliability, and site safety.
  • Support HAZOPs and regulatory requirements (SEVESO/COMAH where applicable).
  • Manage maintenance budgets and support the Engineering Team.
  • Align maintenance activities with OEM standards, reliability data, and HSE guidance.
  • Cover Engineering Manager duties during absence.
  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering
  • 5+ years in a hazardous manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation (PSSR, LOLER, PUWER, SEVESO/COMAH)
  • Experience with CMMS, RAMS, and Permit‐to‐Work systems
  • Understanding of ATEX and DSEAR
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive, hands‐on mindset
  • Advanced PC skills + financial awareness
