Sales Representative Carbon Credits – DGB Group – Lelystad

The sales team is looking for an Account Manager to help sell our CO2 credits (carbon offsets) and to be the Account Manager for a large number of companies, mostly SMEs, in the Netherlands.

  • Selling the CO2 credits that DGB yields
  • Advising and supporting our customers to become CO2 neutral
  • Supporting our customers in our CO2 footprint calculator, (link)
  • Maintaining a portfolio of existing customers, and thus being the primary (account management) contact for them within the organization; strengthening relationships with existing customers is of great importance
  • Drawing with new customers through a variety of sales activities: cold/warm calling, networking, (digital) marketing in collaboration with our digital team, organizing and participating in events, following up on leads coming in through different media
  • Continuous improvement of the marketing and sales processes
  • Managing an up-to-date database of customer interactions and sales pipeline in the digital CRM environment
  • Informing and advising DGB management about trends in the market and wishes of your customer portfolio


The ideal candidate has extensive experience with account management in the Netherlands. He/she has worked in the field and knows how to gain and maintain the trust of directors and boards of directors in SMEs. The candidate likes to be ‘on the road’ and enjoys meeting new potential customers at all kinds of locations and events, but spends just as much time on his existing portfolio of customers. Customer service always comes first. The candidate has been doing this for a while – and is therefore so good at it – but is looking for a new challenge. Preferably one with a social goal: dedicating oneself to a better World. He/she is familiar with Hubspot and is able to advise on process improvements related to CRM systems.

  • Excellent customer service skills, because after all you work with people all day long
  • Fluent in Dutch language and writing, good in English, additional language proficiency is a plus
  • Experience in the CO2 (related) credit industry is a plus, but having extensive experience in account management and relationship-based sales is a prerequisite
  • Good understanding of the CO2 credits industry, or the willingness to quickly
