To support the expansion of our customer’s operations, we are looking for a New Warehouse Manager to reinforce the OPS team within our platform. Together with our customer, we strive to make this a world-class leading logistics operation. What you do on a typical day

  1. Planning the weekly workload, establishing priorities to achieve the set goals.
  2. Organization to ensure that the process runs smoothly and in accordance with KPI’s.
  3. Provide training and assessments to their teams and conduct performance evaluations.
  4. Ensure compliance with the rates and set up any corrective actions that may be required.
  5. Analyse and coordinate procedures between areas and departments.
  6. Ensure compliance with internal safety regulations AEO and those from ORP – OSHAS.
  7. Report to the Ops manager.
  8. Ability to represent GXO Logistics towards our customer on their demands and opportunities to support their business.
  9. Bring value to our customer with pro-active initiatives and process improvements aimed at increasing quality, safety, inventory, and lead-time.
  10. Focus on continuous improvement techniques, quality/ISO management processes, productivity improvement, and cost control within the operations.
  11. Resolve issues, determine root cause, and implement solutions.
  12. Supervises and develops staff and otherwise carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable law.

What you need to succeed at GXO

  1. Bachelor’s degree/HBO in related fields will be preferred.
  2. Pro-active, motivated, and stress-resistant.
  3. Minimum 2 years of experience in the Logistic sector, preferably in warehousing.
  4. Leadership & coaching experience of more than 3 years with more than 40 FTE.
  5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  6. Knowledge of Dutch and Spanish is an advantage.
  7. Preferably with an advanced level of visual basic, flexibility, proactiveness, and initiative.
  8. Clear and direct communication skills.
  9. A people-oriented management style, with the ability to motivate and drive the best possible performance.
  10. Ability to prioritize projects versus operational needs.
  11. LEAN/5S/Six Sigma qualifications are a plus.
  12. Flexibility – this is not always a 9-5 environment.
  13. Ability to work effectively under pressure.
